Alcohol Ink

I have been experimenting with Alcohol inks on there own.

As I usually use these pretty inks in resin but I thought whilst the heat is here across the Summer I struggle to do resin pours. I wish I had the luxury of an air conditioned studio.....

So, I have been playing around with the applying of the ink on Yupo paper, ceramic and glass. The medium lends itself to be lit on fire ! Yes, this process is really fun and awesome to see how the ink changes from the heat. Along with blowing the ink around with a straw or by the heat gun - creating beautiful movement with the ink.

I love the vibrant colours they produce.
